Lukas Vashold

Lukas Vashold is a post-doc researcher at WU Vienna, where he also received his PhD, and FGV-EESP in São Paulo. His research focuses on empirical assessments of issues in the realms of environmental and development economics by using, and developing, econometric methods. His current research interests include the drivers and consequences of deforestation in Brazil, the environmental and social impacts of mining, and panel/time series models for structural break detection and forecasting. Lukas is also Senior Data Scientist at the World Data Lab, where he co-developed the World Emissions Clock, an interactive webtool for the visualization of sector-specific greenhouse gas emissions.
