Mari Tanaka

Mari Tanaka is an Associate Professor at Hitotsubashi University, Institute of Economic Research. The areas of her study are labor, development, and international economics, and economic history. Her research mainly focuses on how globalization, firm organizational practices, and labor market institutions affect firm performance and workers’ welfare in Southeast Asian countries and Japan. She received a Ph.D in Economics from Stanford University.
