Miriam Artiles is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Economics at PUC-Chile. In September 2026, she will join Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona’s Department of Economics and Economic History as an Assistant Professor and an Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics. She received her BA from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and her PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her research focuses on political economy, development economics, and economic history, combining econometric and machine learning methods.
