Nancy Luke, PhD, is currently Research Scientist in the Population Research Institute at Pennsylvania State University and is a former Professor of Demography and Sociology. Luke conducts primary data collection projects that focus on gender, family, and health and well-being in international contexts. In support of this research, Luke has received numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health. Luke's research appears in Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Development Economics, American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, Journal of Marriage and Family, Demography, Population Studies, and Economic Development and Cultural Change, among other journals and edited volumes.
