Nikita Melnikov is a Ph.D. candidate at Princeton University's Department of Economics. His research interests are in the fields of Development and Political Economy. A part of his work analyzes how violent non-state actors affect economic development in the areas they control. Another part of Nikita’s work analyzes the political consequences of the recent expansion of mobile telecommunications infrastructure.
