Priyadarshi Amar
Post-Doctoral Researcher, University Carlos III of Madrid
Priyadarshi is a Post-Doctoral researcher on the POLARCHATS project, at the University Carlos III - Madrid and the Instituto Juan Linz. He received a Ph.D. jointly in Political Science and Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research centers on local governance and misinformation, with particular emphasis on the Global South. A key focus of his work is to explore how institutional rules and information environments shape political inequality and citizen engagement in the context of increasing polarization. He holds a M.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a M.Sc. in Financial Mathematics from King’s College London, and a B.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Delhi.
