Salma Khalid

Salma Khalid is an Economist in the International Monetary Fund. Her research interests lie at the intersection of applied microeconomics, development and behavioral economics. Her recent research has explored the impact of digitalization and automation on individual labor market outcomes, firm outcomes and public sector efficiency. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan. Before joining the IMF, Salma has also worked at the World Bank.
