Sandra Aguilar-Gomez is an Assistant Professor at the School of Government and Public Transformation at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico City and leads the Gender Research Initiative at Environment for Development (EfD). Her research lies at the intersection of environmental, health, gender, and development economics, with a focus on the distributional impacts of environmental shocks and climate change in low- and middle-income countries. She combines quasi-experimental methods with administrative, survey, and geospatial data, with a primary regional focus on Mexico and Latin America. She holds a PhD in Sustainable Development from Columbia University and previously held positions at Universidad de los Andes and the University of California, San Diego.
