Sophie Mathes is an Assistant Professor at the EPGE School of Economics and Finance at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro. Her research combines structural modelling and empirical methods and focuses on environmental, urban, and health topics.  She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics at Arizona State University.
