Naureen Karachiwalla
Research Fellow, International Food Policy Research Institute
I am a Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion (PGI) Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and a non-resident Fellow at both the Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR) and the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP).
My research uses experimental and quasi-experimental methods to examine how public service delivery can be improved to reduce poverty in the spheres of social protection, education, mental health, and nutrition.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Oxford and was an AMID Fellow at Bocconi University in Milan. Previously, I received an MSc in Economics for Development with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a BA Hons from McGill University.
