Scientist, Gender Quantitative, International Livestock Research Institute

Zelalem Terfa is a Scientist at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), under research programme on People, Policies and Institutions. Zelalem has wide range of experience in livestock economics with focus on animal health and policy. His current research at ILRI is on quantitative gender analysis in livestock focusing on women’s empowerment, policy, and animal health. Prior to his current role, he worked as an economist for USAID funded feed project of the University of Florida. He also has extensive experience working with UK higher institutes as postdoctoral and PhD researcher. Zelalem received his PhD in Economics from the University of Liverpool, UK.
