Anke Hoeffler, DPhil (Oxon), is a Professor of Development Policy at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, University of Konstanz, Germany. She is a widely cited social scientist and a member of the Leopoldina, the German National Academy of Sciences. Her research interests are wide-ranging, and her forthcoming book (co-authored with James Fearon) is entitled “Worse than War: The Global Costs of Violence”.
