Ankush Asri

Ankush Asri is a Senior Researcher at the Chr. Michelsen Institute in Bergen, Norway, where he works with the Poverty and Global Health Research Group. He is a behavioral and experimental economist studying the drivers of inequality across groups defined by natural identities such as caste, gender, and ethnicity, with a focus on how social norms and institutions shape economic behavior. He also holds a position at the Thurgau Institute of Economics at the University of Konstanz, and is affiliated with the Inclusion Economics India Centre and the Excellence Cluster “The Politics of Inequality”. Ankush holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Bologna and has previously been on the faculty at Radboud University.
